Happy 7th Birthday Jillian!!!

Well 7 years ago today I had been in labor for 8 hours and still had 6 more hours to go before we welcomed Jillian DeLayne into the world!! Those 14 hours were well worth it and we are blessed to have a wonderful, energetic, sweet, caring, loving little girl!!
On the Saturday before her birthday Jill and her friend Grace went to get their nails and toe nails painted, they also got wild hair pieces and glitter make-up!! Then we ate lunch and cake, went roller skating and finished up the day with hamburgers and ice cream. They had lots of fun!! Happy Birthday Jill! We love you!!

As promised here are some softball pictures!! They have only lost 2 games all season and Jill has only struck out ONCE she is pretty good!! Randy is helping coach this year and he has had lots of fun helping her.. I think he is pretty proud of her athletic ability (we all know she didn't get it from me). Softball makes our life and schedule pretty crazy with practices and games but its worth it!! The pictures are at the bottom of the page.. I am having problems posting pictures it will either let me put them at the top or at the bottom but not in between my posts if anyone can tell me how to fix this I would be grateful!!

The project

Well.. How did my project go you ask.. and what exactly was it.. Let me start by telling you I teach Truth Trackers to the 4,5 and some 6 yr olds at our Church on Wednesday nights, it is kinda like Sunday school they memorize verses and learn basic Biblical values. So last night we planted flowers for Mothers Day and I have to say all went well, not a big mess, only one got dropped and MOST importantly they were so proud of their flowers!! So during this process Randy(acts as my helper) tells the children that he eats dirt and the worms that are in it.. I think it went something like this "Mr. Randy what is that big bag of dirt for?" and Randy replies " I eat it, it has good nutritional value..yea the worms too.." and on and on.. So last night we get home and I get a text from Jenn saying Emily is distressed because Mr. Randy eats dirt and worms!!! She also told her Grandmother who is here visiting!! Nice Randy!! Seriously who put these children in our care? What were they thinking..
Moving right along I am posting some pics of the girls and their new tire swing, we got new tires on the Excursion and Jill asked Randy if he would keep an old one and make them a tire swing and being a good Daddy he did..

My very first post

Well as the title points out this is my very first post!! If you choose to follow my blog you will probably see lots of pictures of our family, lots of random thoughts not put together to well and nothing to serious, if you are looking for something to stimulate your mind into deep educational thoughts your NOT going to find it here!!
I will try to take some pics and get them posted soon.. Jill has a softball game tomorrow night, we are about half-way through the season and I haven't taken any pictures.. yes yes I know I am not going to win mother of the year this time around, but don't worry Grandma Dalene has taken pictures and video too!! I am also leaving EARLY Friday morning to go the The Home school Book Fair in Dallas to pick out Jill's curriculum for next year.(Does it make me a bad mother if I choose Jill's start date for next year after looking to see when the water park closes for the season? I don't really need answers to that!!) Anyway we are leaving on Friday morning (9 of us) and we will be home Saturday evening, I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time I have never spent the night away from Axie (Jill has spent the night away from home so I have been away from her before) but I'm sure the girls will be just fine and maybe just maybe Randy will be too... Well I need to go make supper now and then head off to Church... we are doing a project tonight.....
